Standard vs Local/Non-Profit Hire Rates

As the central meeting place for the Collector community, we encourage use of the hall by locals and non-profit groups in the Collector region. To support use of the hall by non-profit and local groups and individuals, Collector and Currawang residents and not-for-profit groups are eligible for 50% discount off the standard hire rate.

  • Standard Hire Rate applies to non-local hirers (residents outside of the Collector/Currawang region), for public ticketed events and private functions (e.g. weddings, parties).
  • Local/Non-Profit Hire Rate applies to local hirers (residents of Collector/Currawang) for private events and ticketed public events AND not-for-profit groups.

In special circumstances, venue fees may be waived for no-budget or low-budget public events that are in the interest of the Collector community and promote a sense of community spirit. Examples may include local markets, music concerts, community meetings, memorial services, youth theatre etc. For more information, please contact us to discuss your event plans and how we can assist.

Why do local community groups pay a fee for using Collector Hall?

A common question that the Collector Memorial Hall Committee has received from local groups is “Why are community groups asked to pay a fee for using Collector Hall?” To answer this question, the Collector Memorial Hall Committee has prepared a statement to explain why local community groups are asked to contribute financially.
