Collector Hall has won a grant to construct a Memorial Space in Poidevin Park, to honour those who have served in the defence forces.

The Hall Committee would like to announce that work will soon commence on the Memorial Space in Poidevin Park.

The Collector Memorial Hall Committee thanks the Upper Lachlan s355 Ratch Collector Wind Farm Community Grant Committee for supporting their application for funds to undertake this important project.

Description of works

Collector Memorial Hall is a registered war memorial, and this project honours the original intent of the community when they built the Memorial Hall after World War 2.

It is envisioned that the Memorial Space will be a place where the community can come together to reflect, to remember and celebrate the service of those who have served in the defence forces.

The project will feature:

  • a circular paved space with semi circular walls, stone and sandstone logs encircled by rosemary plants.
  • the original flagpole will be placed in the paved space with bench seating opposite.
